WISCONSIN — The Wisconsin Department of Child and Mental Health released new figures last week that show Wisconsin children continue to cope with mental health issues.
Experts have shared their insights into what’s behind the problem and what can help turn things around.
“There are many factors that contribute to a child’s mental health,” said Linda Hall, director of the Wisconsin Department of Child and Mental Health. is a problem that has been growing for 10 years already.”
Hall’s office created a mental health crisis card. Available to parents and children throughout Wisconsin. She said she was born after her office worked with her parents to develop ways to make calming strategies work better while helping their children survive crisis situations.
