Madison, Wisconsin (AP) — The State of Wisconsin announced the hiring of Mike Brown as Associate Head Coach/Wide Receiver Coach, Jack Bicknell Jr. as Offensive Line Coach, and Gino Guiduguri as Passing Game Coordinator/Tight End Coach.
Brown and Guidugli worked with Wisconsin’s new coach, Luke Fickel, in Cincinnati. Fickel had a 57-18 record in six seasons in Cincinnati before Wisconsin hired him in late November.
Wisconsin announced the hiring of three assistants on Friday. Wisconsin had already announced the hiring of offensive coordinator Phil Longo and defensive coordinator Mike Tressel on Tuesday.
Brown has been Cincinnati’s wide receiver coach since the 2019-22 season, adding the title of passing game coordinator this season. Guidugli joined the Cincinnati staff as running back coach in 2017, began quarterback coaching in 2018, and was named offensive coordinator in 2022.
Bicknell spent the 2022 season as offensive line coach in North Carolina, where Longo was offensive coordinator. Bicknell and Longo held the same position at the University of Mississippi from 2017 until he was in 2018.
Bicknell was Louisiana Tech’s head coach from 1999 to 2006 with a 43-52 record.
