Tuk-tuks can be used as a reliable means of transportation as well as for sightseeing around Bangkok. Now you don’t even have to wait until you stumble across it. Have you tried the tuk-tuk ride-hailing service yet?
If you have been in Bangkok for a while, you may have heard of an app called MuvMi. MuvMi is an app that provides a tuk-tuk that will drive you to your destination. These tuk-tuks are bigger than the familiar tuk-tuks as they are powered by electricity and can carry up to six passengers with plenty of space for additional belongings.

This tuk-tuk ride-hailing app is really gaining popularity in Bangkok
There are also great options for lower prices if you prefer rideshare. There’s plenty of room in the tuk-tuk anyway, and if you’re going to a popular destination like a BTS station, you won’t put a lot of stress on your watch when you’re rushing to work.
“It’s electric and it’s ridesharing, so the carbon footprint and everything is great,” says a 29-year-old Filipino man. “The only downside is that sometimes you have to wait a while.”
Perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors and want an eco-friendly tuk tuk. In addition, it eliminates the problem of tourists having to negotiate prices with tuk-tuk drivers in Bangkok. Some people have to pay a gouge fee for that. Fixed prices, the ability to pay with credit/debit cards, and the ability to explore the city in a tuk-tuk are what set MuvMi apart from many of its competitors.
They claim to have served over 3.5 million riders, and with more tourists expected in Thailand this year, it’s not hard to imagine that number going up.
