Earlier this month, it was revealed that The band plans to share a new concert film, BTS hasn’t come to the cinema yeton the big screen in 2023.
The K-pop superstar performed a huge sold-out show in Busan, South Korea this October. It was part of the bid for the 2030 Busan International Expo. The hit-filled set hits theater screens around the world on February 1st.
According to a press release, the upcoming film has been remixed and re-edited, boasting “new close-up angles and a whole new perspective of the concert as a whole.” Besides the usual big screen, the concert will also be screened in special formats such as ScreenX, 4DX and 4DX Screen.
Mark Allenby said Trafalgar Releasing, which will be showing the film alongside HYBE and CJ 4DPlex, is thrilled to “collaborate again” with both companies.
He added: “The group’s engagement with the audience has always been a perfect fit for the film and we are delighted to welcome fans around the world to this must-see celebration.”
CJ 4DPLEX CEO Jong Ryeol Kim commented:
“This film is made in both special formats. Fans will be able to fully experience our film through three different angle magnified screens and motion seats that move to the music of BTS.”
