“The Sarawak Entrepreneurship Development Coordinating Committee (SEDCC) was established to strengthen cooperation between institutions related to entrepreneurship.
“Through this commission, all programs, activities and entrepreneurial assistance provided by different institutions will be coordinated and optimized, so there will be no duplication of projects or programs,” he said.
He added that SEDCC also plays a role in ensuring that all initiatives implemented reach target groups and subsequently have an effective impact on the development of entrepreneurs in Sarawak.
U Awang Tengah said there are 53 federal and state agencies involved in fostering entrepreneurs involved in SEDCC.
Earlier, Sarawak Bumiputra Chamber of Entrepreneurs (DUBS) Chairman Datu Avan Helmi Ikwan said the state government is conducting research to attract financial investors and fund the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector, including hi-tech and digital industries. proposed to implement.

“In reality, the anxiety facing existing traders also creates opportunities for new traders who are expected to be more effective,” he said.
In this regard, DUBS thanked the Prime Minister and the Sarawak Government for their support of entrepreneurs at a critical time.
About the awards, Avan Helmi said a total of 256 nominees participated in various categories.
“This shows an increase in participation and the quality of candidates is better than before. To me, this shows that Sarawak’s Bumiputra entrepreneurial community is strong and resilient.” he said.
