The U of A’s Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, a unit of the U of A Department of Economic Development, closed out 2022 with a banner year of new clients, new business starts and capital acquisitions.
The center’s eight-person team contributed 2,031 hours of consultancy to 905 new clients and their respective projects with a customer satisfaction score of over 94%. The ASBTDC and UAF consultant helped the client raise his $17.5 million in capital and launched 48 new businesses to find success in NWA’s thriving small business community.
“We are a small but mighty team, and we couldn’t be more proud of our accomplishments this year and the impact we’ll have in 2022,” said Mary Beth Brooks, director of the Center. We look forward to new clients, new ideas and new opportunities that will have an economic impact on the small business community.
The U of A Small Business and Technology Development Center team serves current and prospective business owners in six counties, providing guidance and guidance on starting and growing a small business, finance, marketing, innovation, and technology commercialization. provide expertise.
