The Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance (HBA) will soon host a Hispanic Entrepreneur Certification Program.
The eight-week program started in 2015. According to Hispanic Business Alliance President and CEO Nancy Rangel, each area of study is taught by an expert or expert in the field.
“Business accounting and tax studies are taught by CPAs, business law and ethics are taught by lawyers, and business finance and banking are taught by experienced banking professionals with 20 years of experience,” says Rangel. said. “In addition to eight areas of study, participants will be asked to implement their business plans with guidance and assistance from each high-level expert.”
Upon completion of the entrepreneurship training, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion at a graduation ceremony held at Tyler’s University of Texas where family and friends are encouraged to attend.
With the support of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, the Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance was formed, and in 2023 the program, sponsored by Crystal Clear Insurance, Jose Sanchez Law Firm, Martinez CPA and VeraBank, will help small businesses grow, said Rangel. said to be an excellent way to accelerate within the community.

The training is in Spanish and HBA is the first and only organization in the region, Rangel said.
“We were the first and only organization to offer entrepreneurship training entirely in Spanish within the Tyler metropolitan area. Since our entrepreneurship classes were already taught in English, we didn’t want to duplicate our services within the region. “Because I didn’t,” she said.
Rangel said the program has been very beneficial to the Hispanic community.
“This format of training is very beneficial to the Hispanic and Spanish-speaking community as they can receive guidance and information on how to start, grow and manage a business,” she said. “We have graduated hundreds of participants over the past decade, providing these entrepreneurs with the business ingredients and skill sets they need to manage and run successful businesses.”
Rangel said it is important for Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance to ensure that the community has access to the right quality guidance and education for new and veteran Spanish-speaking business owners in the area. and important.
