For anyone in Ottawa and Calgary who loves Drake and October’s Very Own fashion brands, two new retail outlets will soon open in the malls of these cities.
When those spots open, people can finally get their hands on the brand’s style firsthand.
In the country’s capital, the new store will be the Rideau Center.
It will open on the second floor of the mall, between the Apple Store and Aritzia, and will be a huge 2,520-square-foot location.
On the west side, OVO will soon be held at the Chinook Center in Calgary.
According to Retail Insider, the location will be on the main level of the mall near Louis Vuitton.
It’s slightly smaller than the one in Ottawa, with 2,300 square feet of retail space where people can shop for branded styles.
The exact timing of when these two new locations will open has yet to be announced, but the OVO store at the Rideau Center is already under construction.
The opening of stores in Ottawa and Calgary brings the brand to seven locations in Canada.
We already have stores in three malls in Ontario, as well as independent locations in Toronto and Vancouver.
OVO currently has 11 stores around the world, including 5 stores in Canada and the US, UK and Japan.
When the Raptors OVO gear launched at the end of 2019, there was a waiting list of 7,000 people.
Practice jerseys and other items in the collection sold out in just 10 minutes.
Some companies are closing stores, while others like OVO are actually opening stores.
Second Cup will do the same, opening 14 “non-traditional” cafes in Canada over the next 18 months.
