Throughout 2022, the South Florida sports world experienced many ups and downs.
Teams and players have gone too far, as the FIU football team has won more games this season than it has in its previous 23 games combined. There were moments he would rather forget, such as the Miami Heat losing one game until his next trip to the NBA Finals.
Big names have moved into the area and some big names have moved out of town. Needless to say, 2022 was an unforgettable year in the world of professional, college and even high school sports.

Florida Panthers finish NHL’s best regular season, win first playoff series in 26 years

The Rockets took a big lead in the first half to beat American Heritage 38-31.
South Florida high school football wins second sweep state title game
Not many would argue that Miami-Dade and Broward have some of the best, if not the best, high school football teams in the country. It was his second time in the 60-season history of the Florida High School Athletic Association football finals, and the incident was amplified.
Six teams from the region filled eight possible spots in early December’s finals, two of the four games in which the teams of Miami-Dade and Broward met for the title for the first time ever. After all, the strong programs of Chaminade-Madonna, St. Thomas Aquinas, Miami Central and Columbus each brought home hardware.
All seven qualified teams won the title only once during the 2019 season. Plus, it’s been proven to go 305 or 954 if you want to be the best in high school football.
