Google Explains “Core” Algorithms
In 2016, Google’s Andrey Lipattsev described the “core” algorithm.
This comes on the heels of news that Panda will become part of Google’s core algorithms. SEO wanted to better understand what it meant to be part of Google’s core algorithms.
Simply put, it means that the algorithm is consistent enough that Google doesn’t have to worry about it. Because the algorithm has been tested, works well and doesn’t require many changes in the future. Lipattsev explains:
It’s not about functionality, it’s about how we perceive it in the context of algorithms, which probably means it doesn’t change much over time. Has it been running for a while and I don’t know how long it will last?
