Book Cottage
In November, Book Cottage (531 20th St.) announced on its Facebook page that it would be closing at the end of the year. But the community wasn’t ready to let go of their favorite bookstore, so they launched a GoFundMe to keep it alive.
However, while community funding has allowed us to catch up with some bills, we are unable to sustain our business. Book Cottage will close his Sunday, January 1, and move to the Michigan Center, said owner girlfriend Nancy Oakley.
This new location isn’t a book cottage, but will be a vendor space business, along with a small section of books. This is called a treasure chest.

Later, on Facebook, the Davis family announced that they had regained ownership of the Steak Eatery building, but that it had been sold again to new owners.
