McGovern Automotive Group, a group of new and used car dealers based near Boston, has joined the Franklin County Community Meal Program as a partner in providing meals to those in need.
Through the Franklin County Community Meal Program’s new community sponsorship program, McGovern Automotive Group has joined to support the program’s four free community meal sites, two food pantries and a mobile food bank.
When McGovern Automotive Group moved to the area and acquired greenfield Dillon Chevrolet, the company pledged to follow in Dillon Chevrolet’s footsteps. According to the Franklin County Community Meal Program, one of its efforts was to continue its partnership with Dillon Chevrolet with the Meal Program.
“We are so grateful to see businesses moving to the region with the mindset and spirit of giving back to the community. A network of connections across sectors is what builds resilience and resources. “In our 38-year history, the number of people in need of our services has never been higher, so the support of our community is extremely important.”
“While the building may have changed ownership, the long-standing relationship between our dealers and the Greenfield community continues,” said Matt McGovern, president of McGovern Automotive Group, in a statement. . “Just as we invest in our employees, we will continue to invest in our relationships with our communities and do what we can to be good neighbors.”
The Community Sponsorship Program, launched this year, creates a way for businesses to become “community heroes” by supporting the Franklin County Community Meal Program’s annual programs at various donation levels.
