The popular recipe/cookbook iOS app Pestle has released with a big update that brings tons of upgrades. In addition to smart folders, the release highlights new ways to import recipe cards and cookbooks via PDF, existing images, and more.
Pestle 1.4’s Smart Folders feature allows you to organize all your recipes. This feature allows you to select conditions in a folder and then fill the folder itself.

If you have PDF versions of our cookbooks, you can now import them into your Pestle. New features are available by simply pressing the + button.
Another improvement to Import is the ability to scan images from your iPhone’s Camera Roll into your Pestle.
Search in Pestle has also been improved, and you’ll see recipe previews when you use Spotlight to pull Pestle content.
Pestle 1.4 is a free download from the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Pestle Pro runs $1.99 per month, $19.99 per year, or $39.99 as a lifetime purchase and unlocks all features of the app.
