The BBC News app was the UK’s most downloaded news app in 2022.
The app had 908,000 new installs, with the Sky News app coming in second with 607,000 installs, according to data provided to the Press Gazette by app intelligence firm Sensor Tower. This data is for downloads from January to November 2022.

The top single news brand apps by new installs were the CNN, Fox News, and New York Times apps, with 1.4 million downloads each between January and November 2022.
