Now, Mohammad is opening a hookah bar on 33rd Street and Pine Avenue this week, encouraging others to stay committed.
“If you want to work, if you want to follow your dreams, building a business is easy. It’s really easy to find a job, and if you want to follow your dreams, never give up, ”said Mohammad.
Mohammad’s cousin agreed, saying Ellie was the perfect place to follow your dreams.
“It’s a very welcoming community. It helps a lot of immigrants, people in need and people in war-torn countries. favorite Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and hopefully Ukraine. It’s a welcoming community and it’s great,” said Mohammad Ali, cousin of his owner of the business.
Mohammad and his family said they wanted their new business to highlight Middle Eastern culture.
“There is a lot of diversity in Erie now. I hope it grows and we see more business from Afghans, Syrians and all other groups.”
The Hookah Lounge will open on Friday, December 30th at 6pm. Mohommad added that he is looking forward to the event.
