Wichita State Police arrested two teenagers Saturday night after they rioted at a business in southern Wichita.
A police officer was working off-duty at a business on the 3200 block in South Meridian when a 15-year-old girl threatened an employee. They asked the girl to leave, but she continued to threaten and refused to leave. A boy was involved and hit the officer in the back of the head. There were struggles with teenagers and more officers were called into the business.
The girl was booked into the Youth Ingestion and Evaluation Center for assault, law enforcement battery, and aggressive and harassing contact. The boy was booked into a juvenile detention center for battery and two imprisonments.
Videos showing parts of the incident have been circulating on social media, and police say the case is being reviewed by the Investigative Division and the Bureau of Professional Standards.
