Teakdecking Systems appoints new director of sales, business development and marketing

Teakdecking Systems (TDS), a leading teak decking company, announced the appointment of John Shinske as Director of Sales and Business Development. Europend Anela Olcott Marketing Director.

Canadian Shinsuke has been in the yachting industry for over 20 years and has a deep understanding of the industry as a whole. He started his career on the repair side before being captain for five years. Back on the coast, he founded one of Spain’s leading yacht agencies before spending his four years in the world of teak decking. He then moved to Global Yachts as COO before deciding to return to TDS.

Barcelona-based Shinske is the company’s Responsible for sales and business development in Europe and the Middle East, responsible for growth and management.Strengthen operations in Europe and identify opportunities for new product development.

Marketing veteran Anella Alcott reports directly to Florida CEO Richard Strauss. 2023 will mark her 40th anniversary of the company. Alcott is responsible for spearheading all marketing efforts focused on driving customer engagement and acquisition and brand resonance.

Alcott began his career in the superyacht industry in 2012 as Commercial Director for the world-famous Marina Port Vell, which was launched in 2015. He then moved to the new Global Yachts He Agency as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, where he was responsible for all marketing efforts. Across 11 countries.
