The 7th Annual High School Idaho Entrepreneur Challenge was held in January with 46 high school students representing 16 teams and 7 high schools from across Idaho. This was a hybrid event with four teams participating remotely via Zoom.
The competition is held in partnership with Boise State University’s Venture College and Teach Idaho, a nonprofit organization that supports teachers and students statewide. The High School Idaho Entrepreneur Challenge is sponsored by the Acahand Foundation, IGEM (Idaho Department of Commerce), and Nexus Marketing.
The competition included two tracks, Products and Services & Technology. The competition was held at the Innovation Incubator at the College of Innovation and Design.

Over the course of several months, high school students worked with teachers and mentors to form teams, identify problems, come up with solutions in the form of business ideas, conduct research, build pitch decks, and practice pitching in public. Did. of their teachers and other peers.

eco innovator award
This year, Nexus Marketing sponsored a new award called the Eco Innovator Award. The award rewards environmentally conscious student entrepreneurs who present venture ideas that reduce waste, support the environment and contribute to a sustainable future.
This award went to Cozy Covers at Bishop Kelly High School.
