Four entrepreneurial students showcased their fledgling companies at the Entrepreneur Fair at the Shari Fleming Center for the Arts on Friday.
Dillon Calloway told visitors about his DCal Productions launch.
His business makes videos for customers. Callaway, his sophomore of business major at the University of Tulsa, showed his digital camera mounted on a tripod with a balancing device that keeps the camera level at any position.
Ethan Coots talked about his business, Coots Pressure Washing. A monitor next to him played a video of an outdoor surface being cleaned, including before and after images. On the table in front of him lay his spray wand with several nozzles.
Gainz Central, run by Nathaniel Heilig, sells Peruvian “superfoods” such as chia, spirulina, pretstard and harina.
Jean Paul Fort, who sells neck pillows under the company name Upillow, said his approach was to go to company officials and offer them the product.
According to Fort, neck pillows provide comfort, especially for athletes.
“My main goal is to help student-athletes,” he said.
Tabor’s Central Kansas Entrepreneurship Center, which opened in August, is open to all entrepreneurs in Central Kansas.
Funding for the center was provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the City of Hillsboro.
