Starbucks Creative Studio vice president Jen Quotson is leaving the company after more than 14 years, the coffee chain confirmed Thursday. A Starbucks spokesperson said in an email that the company will immediately begin a succession search, considering internal and external candidates.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Quotson spent more than eight years as Vice President of the Global Creative Studio. Before he took on that role, he was Creative Director for over five years.
“Jen’s leadership and stewardship at the studio are inseparable from how Starbucks stands out around the world,” Starbucks CMO Brady Brewer wrote in a letter to employees.
The resignation is the latest in a string of recent executive departures from Starbucks. Most recently, Starbucks said Tim Schaller, managing director of his coffee trading company, said he left the chain in October. Scharrer led the company’s coffee pricing and purchasing strategy.
There was also a big tremor. In August, interim CEO Howard Schultz announced that Starbucks would be retiring from his COO role at the end of his 2022 fiscal year. The news came with additional role reorganizations as Schultz pursued a “different kind of” leadership in the chain. From Chief Strategy Officer to Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. These changes follow Rossann Williams, the former Starbucks EVP and president of U.S. retail and Canada, stepping down in his June role.
