PITTSBURGH – Pitt Panthers fans, friends, coaches and players have spent the past 12+ hours wishing their loved one the best in their lives. Buffalo’s Bills-Cincinnati-Cincinnati-Buffalo The sports world has continued to sympathize with him after he was out of his Bengals game due to cardiac arrest, sharing his fortune with Hamlin’s charity.
Hamlin remains in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Monday night paramedics performed safe CPR on him for several minutes on the field before he was rushed to hospital in an ambulance after he collapsed in the first football quarter.
As of now, the latest update from the Bills is around 2 a.m., stating that Hamlin is still in critical condition.
Since the incident, football fans have flooded Hamlin’s GoFundMe charity, The Chasing M’s Foundation Community Toy Drive. In just under 12 hours, this drive has raised over $3.2 million for him. The original goal was $2,500 for him.
In a note on his GoFundMe page, Hamlin said, “As I embark on my journey to the NFL, I never forget where I come from. I am committed to using my platform to make a positive impact on the community that raised me.” “I created The Chasing M’s Foundation as a way to help make that impact. Our first program is the 2020 Community Toy Drive.
“This campaign contributes to our first initiative and provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on children hardest hit by the pandemic. 100% of the funds raised will go to children in need. It will be used to buy toys for us.”
Bill stayed overnight in Cincinnati and was near Hamlin. At this time there is no timeframe as to when the next update will be available.
Inside the Panthers will continue to provide updates on Hamlin’s condition as information is released.
