In Tuesday’s District 17-4A basketball game, the Carthage Lady Bulldogs basketball team defeated hosts Spring Hill, 52-33, as seniors Zakira Myers and Jada Walton both scored 13 points to take the lead.
Myers had four rebounds and three steals, while Walton had a game-high nine assists and six steals.
Ja’Kyra Roberts scored 10 points, Kaylen Igbokwe scored 9 points, Roberts added 5 boards and 4 steals and Igbokwe added 10 boards and 4 steals.
Carthage led Spring Hill 26-14 going into halftime.
Lady ‘Dawgs will visit Henderson on Tuesday at 6:15pm.
Carthage Boys Basketball
Will McDaniel scored a game-high 16 points in District 17-4A in a 52-36 win over hosts Spring Hill.
Cade Bishop rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs with 11 points, Kasson Bishop with 10, KD Bell with 9 and Biencinto Kabada with 6.
Spring Hill led Carthage 18-15 at the half before the Bulldogs outscored the Panthers 22-10 in the fourth quarter.
Bulldog visits Henderson on Tuesday at 6:15 pm.

Carthage footballers Keystone Allison, Davion Wallace, Lalandion Dowden, Noah Paddy and KD Bell were named to Padilla Paul’s 4A Division II All-State First Team offense.
James Morrow, Biencinto Kabada, Jaikelian Rockmore, Zemad Williams and Kedrick Harper have been named to the Padilla Poles 4A Division II All-State First Team Defensive Team.
