Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Center and Creative Nomad Studios at Georgian College are excited to partner with the City of Orillia to host the second of six XcelerateHER Orillia events on January 26th.
Called Pitch Perfect, guest speaker Jan Bailey of Clarity Coach will lead an interactive workshop designed to spark ideas and inspire new ways of thinking and doing business pitches. The pitch to become a leading entrepreneur requires credibility, transparency, motivation and persuasiveness. Participants will learn how to create clear and relevant messages and product descriptions, how to let their personality shine, and how to use natural storytelling to get their message across.
“XcelerateHER helps address the support and resource gaps that exist within Orillia,” said Sarah Bentham, director of the Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Center at Georgian College. “This program helps women find inspiration in business through education through peer-to-peer groups, mentoring programs, panel-her discussions, funding for accessibility, and more.”
Over the next five months, the series will continue to help women improve their business pitches, develop growth plans, access industry mentors, and build partnerships with like-minded entrepreneurs.
“XcelerateHER is a great opportunity for female entrepreneurs to grow, network and learn,” said Anitta Hamming, President of Creative Nomad Studios. “We are absolutely thrilled that Creative Nomad Studios is partnering with HBEC and the City of Orillia to provide these incredible resources for free. This multi-session program was built to meet your unique needs for success.”
All future XcelerateHER Orillia events will be held at Creative Nomad Studios (23 Mississaga St. W.) from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the following dates:
- January 26th
- February 16th
- March 30th
- May 18th

Space is limited for the XcelerateHER Orillia event on January 26th and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information and to register for this free event, visit xcelerateherorillia.eventbrite.ca.
