Santa Clara — Adam Peters is in demand.
But he’s happy where he is and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.
49ers assistant general manager Peters has turned down interview requests for the vacant general manager position from the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals, league sources confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area.
The NFL Network first reported that Peters is dedicated to supporting the 49ers during the postseason.
A Bay Area native, Peters is known to enjoy his role with the 49ers while working alongside general manager John Lynch.
After interviewing for several GM positions in the past, Peters isn’t believed to be leaving the 49ers at this stage in his career, sources said.
Lynch turned down a lucrative offer from Amazon to return to broadcasting last year. Should Lynch be tempted to step down from his team management role, Peters would be a natural choice to replace him as the team’s top personnel officer within the 49ers organization.

Peters is in his 20th season in the NFL and his second season as the 49ers’ Assistant General Manager. He spent his four seasons as vice president of player personnel for his 49ers.
Peters was one of Lynch’s first recruits in 2017. Peters joined the 49ers after spending eight seasons with the Broncos (2009-16).
