Since then, the musicians have settled in a communal art space at the Buoyant Heart, a two-story building that leads to the Estei Organ Museum. They made a home of their own even as they prepared to embark on a European tour.

If they were to move, she said, they would end up paying more rent anyway to live in a city where they could hardly spend time.
“Having a home like Brattleboro, which is calmer than a place like New York City, for example, is amazing for our attitudes and health,” she explained.
