Snap is quitting its desktop camera app that lets users apply filters like cat ears and pirate hats to their video calls. The company said on its support page that the product will be discontinued on his January 25th, but did not disclose why it abandoned the app. After the deadline, the user will not be able to download or use her Snap Camera.
The company first introduced Snap Camera in 2018 for creators to use with video conferencing apps such as Skype, YouTube, Google Hangouts, Skype and Zoom. The app was available for both Windows and Mac and allowed users to switch between different face filters during video calls and live streams.
