(ABC 6 News) – On Friday, minority entrepreneurs had an opportunity to network and grow their businesses.
The first lunch and learning networking event of its kind was hosted by the Minority Owned Business Network.
The Minority Owned Business Network’s goal is to provide resources, education and networking events to help BIPOC entrepreneurs grow and thrive in their communities.

While there are still obstacles to overcome, speakers and event organizers say Rochester is on the right track to creating a level playing field for minority business owners.
“Minority, women-owned businesses have access to the knowledge and information they need to succeed. Vice President, Andre Cohen, said.
Cohen said he was blown away by the voter turnout and hopes this will help inspire more people to invest in themselves and keep pushing regardless of obstacles.
