milwaukee – A Milwaukee man was found guilty on Friday, November 18., He was sentenced to three years in prison for shooting a stolen Xbox in a Walmart parking lot in March.
19-year-old Anthony Irby pleaded guilty in August to second-degree reckless endangerment of safety. One of the second-degree reckless bodily injury cases was dismissed as part of a plea bargain.
According to the criminal complaint, police spoke with a shooting victim at Froedtert Hospital who suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. The victim was said to be a passenger in a car that stopped at Walmart and Brown Deer near No. 63 for a Facebook Marketplace exchange.

According to the victim, the driver of the car was talking to “Anthony T. Erby” on Marketplace about purchasing the Xbox.
When Erby and the two in the car met in a Walmart parking lot, the driver took the Xbox without paying Erby and drove off, according to the complaint. That’s when the prosecutor said Irby fired a gun. The rear car window was shattered and there was a bullet hole in the bottom of the tailgate.

Walmart video surveillance shooting, according to complaints. Prosecutors said it also showed Arby got back in the car and drove off.
According to court records, Irby will be on probation for four months at the Milwaukee County Correctional Service. Initially, a judge had sentenced him to three years in prison, but he withheld that sentence in favor of probation.
