A registered sex offender ended up in court for joining a dating site.
Kristian Guthrie registered with Plenty Of Fish under the alias of Christianl1990.
The 32-year-old from Adelaide Road, Southampton also opened an account on HAPPN under the name ‘Kristian.32’. HAPPN is another dating app with the slogan “Find someone you like”.
Last October, he set up accounts on apps and websites like Reddit, Telegram and Twitch.
Appearing in Southampton Magistrate’s Court, he pleaded guilty to five charges of failing to comply with the sex offender registration notification requirements.
He was handed a two-year community order and must participate in 50 days of rehabilitation activities.
Gasly will also have to pay a fine of £150.
