Several hip-hop and R&B artists are participating in key categories at the 8th Annual Wish Music Awards, which will take place on January 22, 2023 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines.
Filipino radio station Wish 107.5’s annual ceremony also honors the best performance of the wildly popular Wish Bass YouTube series.
P-pop geniuses SB19 have been nominated for three awards this year. Wishclusive Pop was nominated for his Performance of the Year for his 2021 hit single “Bazinga.” They are also nominees for 2022’s WYAT’s Wish Pop Song of the Year and Wish Group of the Year. Last year, the group won a total of five awards, winning every category they were nominated for.

Meanwhile, SB19 Ken is also a candidate for Wishclusive R&B Performance of the Year with FELIP’s official debut single “Palayo”.
Up-and-coming and veteran artists such as Flow G, Gloc-9, JMara, and JRLDM are nominated for Wishclusive Hip-Hop Performance of the Year.
JRLDM’s mood swings Cut, ‘Lagi Na Lang’ featuring Gloc-9, and Loonie’s ‘Eskapo’ featuring JROA are both entries for the Wishclusive Collaboration of the Year Award for which the hip-hop lineup was nominated.

Both FELIP and JRLDM were nominated for the Wish Breakthrough Artist of the Year award.

Al James’ 2022 comeback single “PSG;” Young Cocoa’s K-POP co-signed song “Manila;” Ez Mir’s “Re-up;” Competing for The Year.
James Reid’s “Hello 2.0 (Legends Only)”, Quest’s “Huling Gabi”, Denise Julia’s “NVMD” and Daryl Ong’s “Bitaw” were nominated for Wish R&B Song of the Year.
This year’s edition features 53 acts competing in 19 major categories, with the winner taking home a WMA trophy, prize money worth PHP25,000, and an additional PHP100,000 to their chosen charity.
