Longtime Saratoga residents and dog lovers Ruchi Joshi and Purvi Janardhan co-founded theDogHood.com, a dog care platform dedicated to dog parents. It’s a free app that automatically connects dog owners by city so they can share local resources, services and tips, and create plays and get-togethers. The app has grown to include 400 cities and Saratoga is one of the fastest growing cities in the Bay Area.
Designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan, the Saratoga Foothill Club building is a work of art. It’s only fitting that a famous artist takes center stage at a benefit concert to fund the restoration of the historic club. Her pianist Katya Grineva, the only female soloist to have performed her 20 times at Carnegie Hall, will give a benefit concert at the Foothill Club on Friday, February 17th. Champagne Her Reception begins at 5pm, followed by a recital at 5:30pm. Tickets are $55 at eventbrite.com.
Residents of the Saratoga Retirement Community (SRC) showed their appreciation with an annual fundraiser to support SRC’s hardworking and caring employees. This year, approximately $240,000 was raised for her SRC Employee Appreciation Fund. This money goes directly to the appropriate staff.
Montalvo is gearing up for the “Fly Me to the Moon” gala on February 11th. Tickets to dress up, eat, drink and dance are selling fast.
