Street tennis is a new sport recently introduced to Rwanda following a bilateral partnership established between Rwanda and the West Indies country of Barbados.
The Rwandan government has always encouraged sports and physical education and has plans to expand street tennis to different parts of the country.
Often played in recreational areas or residential areas, the sport can also be used to develop tennis skills, host community tournaments, and attract tourists.
