Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Eritrea on Thursday and met with both President Isaias Afewaqi and Foreign Minister Osman Saleh.

His troops are also responsible for numerous abuses against civilians in the Tigray region of northern Ethiopia, assisting Ethiopian forces against rebels from Tigray province in northern Ethiopia in the deadly conflict between November 2020 and November 2022. have been accused.
