Franklin, Wisconsin — Southeast Wisconsin has had three consecutive days of snowfall and more snowfall to come, which has really helped businesses like Rock Snow Park in Franklin.
Burlington’s Gary Devink took his grandchildren to the tube on Friday afternoon.
“I’ve already scored four runs, but I don’t know if I can do it until I’m out there,” Devink said. “But once you’re outside, it’s a lot of fun.”
Debbink said the recent snowfall in southeastern Wisconsin was one of the reasons he decided to hit Rock Snow Park.
“Snow is a kind of reinforcement,” he said. “It makes you feel better. I didn’t have any at Christmas, but now I have them.”
Riley May is the General Manager of Rock Snow Park.
He said it doesn’t matter how much it snows because for their business they have the equipment to produce enough snow to run the park. I said it only works if it’s low enough.

May said when Mother Nature brings snow, it brings more people. He said the area is expecting four to six inches of snow on Saturday, so tubing for the weekend is already sold out.
“When people have snow in their backyards, all of a sudden the light bulb goes out and they say, ‘Let’s go tubing, skiing, or snowboarding,'” May said. “It’s great. Not having to rely on our own snowmaking system and Mother Nature giving us four to five inches of leeway allows the operations crew to take a little breather. It’s great.” We create the conditions.It’s really clean and beautiful here with natural snow, so I’m excited.”
Debbink is now ready for the next round of tubing. As he went down the hill, Devink was happy to have such an experience with his grandchildren, he said.
“I don’t know if you’re going really fast or slow depending on the snow conditions, but that can change quickly. Start slow and suddenly you pick up speed. It’s very exhilarating,” says Debbink. says.
