RIDGEFIELD – Ross Clark, owner of Clark Construction in Ridgefield, not only showcased his business skills, but also worked with other entrepreneurs while participating in the fifth season of the reality show The Blox. connected with

Created by BetaBlox founder and entrepreneur Weston Bergmann, “The Blox” is a reality competition show for startup business owners and established entrepreneurs. The show will debut in the summer of 2021.
“The Blox” measures a competitor’s skill through a series of exercises, pitches, and tests scored with a cumulative point system. During the week of filming, participants will live together and share stories and tips for building a successful business.
In addition to promoting their business, contestants are educated in entrepreneurship on the show.
The fifth season began airing on the BetaBlox app and Facebook Watch on January 26th.
Clark said he saw “The Blox” on Instagram and thought it looked interesting. While most contestants selected for the show meet with their peers, Clarke was interviewed by Bergman.
In one assignment, Clark said Bergman taught the cast about topics related to starting a business. I came up with a minute business pitch.
Clark said he would recommend the “The Blox” experience “a thousand times”.
“For me, it was never about games,” he said. “For me, it was about networking. Being an entrepreneur is really lonely. I think I’ve won a whole group of friends over it.”
Clarke said he is organizing a reunion with his fellow contestants and the show’s alumni.
“It’s amazing to be able to have the support of like-minded people,” he said. “More than that, the information was very good.”
Clark says his experience at the show has also inspired him to rebuild the website for his company, Maldon Cabinets, to focus on creating environmentally safe and non-toxic cabinet products.
Clarke competed in ‘The Blox’ with Maldon Cabinetry starting December 2021 in Austin, Texas.
“When we came out to Austin, we really needed a better cabinet company,” he said. I had the opportunity to bring what I learned in construction and quality standards to this field, both in terms of cabinetry and customer service.”
According to Clark, Maldon Cabinets came out of Clark Construction’s sister company, Maldon Kitchens. Clark’s parents, Gary Clark and Ann Moseley, started Clark Construction in Ridgefield in 1987, and in 2015 Ross his Clark took over the business.
Clarke described Clark Construction as a design-build firm that does residential renovations and extensions, taking clients from “first concept” through to project completion. The company handles everything from design and construction to obtaining the necessary permits and all materials for the project, he said.
