I’m not a millionaire. I have no millionaire friends or relatives. It’s hard to wrap your head around millions of dollars in someone’s bank account.
The Biden administration and Democrats in general seem very bad at basic economics and simple math. This new package includes not only $1.7 trillion in new government spending, but an additional $44 billion of his aid to Ukraine!This is the $2.5 billion Biden just pledged to Africa. In addition to dollars!
They (politicians, etc.) have been warning for years that what we know as the Social Security Fund will go bankrupt within 10 years, sometime around 2033. We have to do something with social security that supports the elderly and now includes the disabled.
Someone explain why there are billions of dollars to support all the other conflicts and charities in the world and no money to support their own people who have devoted a significant portion of their income to social security funds. I think you should explain to me!
Minnesota currently has billions of dollars in tax surpluses, and politicians aren’t quite sure how to spend them. It may be time to not just throw in the towel at this extravagant expense, but start throwing tea at Boston Harbor!
