Sean McVay isn’t done coaching the Los Angeles Rams.
The Super Bowl-winning coach reportedly told members of the Rams organization that he plans to continue coaching the club next season, according to multiple media outlets. McVay was initially non-committal at the end-of-season meeting earlier this week.
The Rams just finished a 5-12 regular season, the first loss in McVay’s six-year tenure. He has a 60-38 record and is 10-7 in the postseason since becoming the youngest head coach in NFL history.
It’s been less than 12 months since LA won Super Bowl LVI. In the offseason, the 36-year-old coach signed a contract extension valid until his 2026 season. But after a trying 2022, he said McVay is considering leaving the pros.
McVay previously said, “Don’t rush any decision. So I’m going to accept.” The next few days will really reflect many conversations with different people to dictate and determine the best decisions for me, my family, the Rams, and many others. do (and do).
His decision, at least for now, is to continue coaching the Rams.
