The son of Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Ian Kagame was enrolled in the Presidential Guard of the Rwandan Defense Forces a few months after graduating and serving in the Rwandan Armed Forces.
Ian made his first public appearance undertaking his new duties at the annual National Prayer Breakfast held on Sunday.
Photos of Ian with other members of the Rwandan Defense Force have surfaced on social media.
Last August, Ian was commissioned a Second Lieutenant at his commencement ceremony at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, England. He will enter college in 2021.
President Kagame and First Lady Janet Nyiramongi Kagame attended the ceremony.
