Mike Provenzare, owner of several of Westchester’s favorite pizzerias, died on December 23 at the age of 52.
Provenzale was born in Toronto on February 21, 1970 and moved with his family to Eastchester in 1983. After graduating from Eastchester High School in 1988, he began working in the food service industry. He opened his first eatery, Scarsdale His Pizza Station, in 2006 and then teamed up with his cousin to open Pizza 238 in Millwood.
Provenzale expanded its operations to include The Pizza Shop in Eastchester and Villaggio Ristorante and Pizzeria in Pelham. Provenzale spent much of his free time coaching Eastchester Little in his league.
He has four children with his wife Christine.
