BLOOMINGTON, IN — Saturday night was electric as the Hoosiers shut down the Ohio State Buckeyes 86-70 inside a packed Simon Scujot Assembly Hall. If he wasn’t part of the 17,000-plus fans who filled the stands (or even if he was), relive it all again through 20 of the best photos of the night.
Freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino had an outstanding day leading all scorers with 24 points going 6-9 from downtown. Junior forward Trace Jackson-Davies definitely put in a solid performance with 18 points, while freshman forward Malik Renault added 15 points in the absence of forward Jordan Geronimo.
Geronimo was ruled out before tip-off due to a worsening left foot injury. Renault and his fellow freshman forward Caleb Banks shared the minutes to Indiana head coach Mike Woodson to make them proud to beat their butts, he said. Said.
Jackson-Davis’ smooth postplay, Banks’ aerial layup, and, of course, lots of shots from Hood-Schifino as the team’s offensive engine for the night.
