Kent- Golden Flash has appointed Scott Peace as its Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement.
In this role, Peace will not only oversee marketing and fan engagement for 19 Golden Flash sports programs, but will also serve as the primary support arm for the Kent State Spirit Squad and Bands. He also serves as a campus and community liaison for his partners and works closely with his ticket office, multimedia rights, and branding.
“We are thrilled to welcome Scott and his family to Kent State,” said Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director Suzette McQueen. “He has extensive experience in marketing, ticketing and fundraising. and has a proven track record of successful fan engagement and attendance.”
Peace comes to Kent State University from the University of Evansville, where he has held various positions since starting with Purple Aces in 2014. Most recently, he served as Senior Associate Athletic Director of Development and External Affairs.
He joined the staff at the University of Evansville in July 2014 as Director of Ticketing Services and Sporting Events Operations, was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Ticketing Operations in December 2016, and Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement in June 2018. bottom. He also previously worked for the IMG/Rearfield team at the University of South Florida and interned at the Louisville Athletic Department.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Peace received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from the University of Louisville in 2013 and a Master of Public Service Management degree from the University of Evansville in 2018. Scott and his wife Sarah have a son, Rowan.
