When Joe Biden ran for the White House against President Trump in 2020, he called on the American people to restore structure, competence, character and abide by the rules. It’s time to go back, he said. “Adults take center stage!” liberal pundits wrote or parroted under their breath on cable TV.
But years later, it turned out that Mr. Biden had been breaking the so-called norm by hoarding sensitive information he wasn’t entitled to keep for at least a decade.
After the first pile of classified documents that were kept in Biden’s unprotected former Penn-Biden Center offices were revealed, President Biden was clearly written by his lawyer after days of ignoring the issue. issued a statement.
“People know I take classified documents and classified information seriously,” Biden said in a Jan. 10 statement. I — my attorney is not suggesting asking what kind of documents they are. I turned the box back, they handed it over to the archives. And we are fully cooperating with the review and hope it will be finished soon.
In particular, he did not mention that the documents were discovered on November 2, 2022, days before the midterm elections.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that the search for classified documents was “complete,” reiterating that Mr. Biden “takes classified information seriously.”
But the search was never completed, and just two days later, Americans quickly discovered that a number of classified items had been found in President Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware garage. Biden’s defense of the situation was that his Corvette, which was also housed in the garage, was always locked up, so the information was safe. His son, Hunter Biden, has regular garage access and even quarantined at his home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A few days later, additional items were found in the home, and Biden’s attorney used clever legal language to explain the latest findings.
“DOJ obtained materials it determined to be within the scope of its investigation, including six items of classified-marked documents and related materials, some of which were issued by the President in the Senate. Biden’s attorney, Bob Bauer, said in a statement about additional items found in Biden’s home.
6 items does not mean 6 documents. The item may be a whole box or binder full of confidential information.

Surprisingly, Mr. Biden has shown no remorse for the situation.
“I have no regrets,” Biden told reporters.
We still don’t know why Biden decided to hold the information illegally, but we do know who potentially had access, and alarms are sounding.
Biden publicly answers questions about what kind of classified information he kept, what it was used for, and how keeping it for years has been beneficial. But given his repeated statement that he “never” spoke about his family’s overseas dealings with his son, those watching this debacle unfold are confidant. It is natural to have doubts about how your information is used.
Emails from Biden’s time as Vice President clearly show that Hunter Biden was intricately involved in the affairs of his office. I have been told to accept allegations that I did not cooperate closely with foreign countries in their commerce that enriched them.
Given his decades-long career in Washington, Capitol Hill, and the executive branch, Biden should know very well when it comes to handling classified information. In fact he knows better. And yet, despite all his experience, Biden was still breaking the most important rule about classified information. What does that say about his intentions? That certainly subverts the White House’s repeated statements that he “takes classified information seriously.”
Obstruction from the White House continues as the special counsel’s investigation into Biden’s mishandling of classified information progresses, only to create mistrust and additional questions about the scandal.
The old Washington mantra returns as it continues to drip, drip, and drip. Cover-up is usually worse than crime. Given the unanswered questions about what kind of classified information Biden kept, who had access to it, and how it was used, it’s hard to say if there’s actually “there” Only time will tell.
