Oklahoma has suffered quite a few losses this season in close competition.
But Tuesday night, the Sooners were winning from the first hint.
To face the 11th-placed TCU Horned Frogs, OU turned over four balls in the first five possessions of the game to help the Horned Frogs take an 11–0 lead.
The Sooners never recovered as TCU beat Oklahoma 79–52 at Schollmeyer Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
The loss was the biggest loss Porter Moser The Sooners’ worst loss since their time in Oklahoma and since dropping the Big 12 contest to the Baylor Bears 77-47 on January 28, 2019.
In the final outing, the Sooners cost the game as OU failed to keep Baylor off the offensive glass.
On Tuesday, Oklahoma (11-9 overall, 2-6 in the Big 12) completely ran out of gyms.
TCU’s pace proved too much for the Sooners as the Horned Frogs (16-4, 5-3) scored a total of 25 fast break points aided by OU’s 15 turnovers.
Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year Mike Miles Poured in 23 points on 6/9 shooting, including a perfect 10/10 mark from the free throw line, to shine for TCU.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma’s top scorer of the season Grant Sherfield Played outside the game.
Sherfield could only add 5 points on 2/11 shooting, failing to keep his team in the contest.

TCU took a 44-27 lead going into halftime and repeated their first-half run to start the second period.
Sooners conceded another 11-0 break, prompting OU coach Moser Horned Frog’s lead had ballooned to 31 points, allowing him to turn his attention to younger players off the bench.

In total, OU shot 31% from the floor and made 5 of 19 shots from 3-point range. The performance was Oklahoma’s worst shooting effort from the field since his 86–68 loss last year against his No. 1 Auburn on January 29, 2022.
Oklahoma will then get a short reprieve from the Big 12 grind. Unfortunately, the Sooners tied his Alabama Crimson Tide for 2nd place in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
OU will be throwing a big upset at the Lloyd Noble Center this Saturday. The Sooners and Crimson Tide are scheduled to tip off at 1:00 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN.
