Omaha, Nebraska (KMTV) — The last week of the year is chaos. Perhaps it’s an unusual time to open a business. But one group of women couldn’t wait for the holiday dust to settle.
Her Company, a women’s cooperative, was Andrea Rae’s idea. She needed a commercial kitchen space for her own business.
“I thought — ‘Well, let’s see if there are other women out there who are in the same situation as me,'” she explained.
That was three months ago. Andrea soon found herself onto something.
“I received over 300 emails from women who were just in need and wanted and excited, and I was blown away by their talent and their own businesses,” she shared.
One of those women is Brenda Coe from Brenda’s Boards.
“I’m grazing tables, boxes and boards. Name it,” she said.
Before Her Company opened, Brenda sold primarily online to friends, family and customers, but needed physical space.
“To be in a group of women who have this kind of push, who are always by your side and who understand what you are going through is really uplifting and helps me move forward. .
in her company, 153rd and Weir currently have 20 vendors of food and drink, soaps, candles, jewelry and more. Andrea says there’s room for more vendors. Click here to connect.
