TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Northwest Ohio Women’s Business Council will announce the first Women Entrepreneurs Special Recognition Program on Thursday.
The announcement will be made at 11:30 am at the Ward Pavilion at Wildwood Preserve Metroparks.
The Northwest Ohio Women’s Business Council was founded by Toledo women in honor of Women’s History Month in 2022 and the #HerStory campaign.
The Women Entrepreneurship Recognition Program aims to promote entrepreneurship by recognizing diverse entrepreneurs in the Toledo area, according to a statement released by the Northwest Ohio Women’s Business Council and the Women of Toledo.
Launching this spring, the awards program aims to achieve the following goals: Recognize excellence and increase awareness of the identity and storytelling of diverse women-owned businesses within our ecosystem. It provides good narratives and increases visibility and opportunities to address local economic inequalities.
