New York City ‘throws party like never before’ for 50 years of hip-hop culture

New York – During National Hip-Hop History Month, New York City shines a spotlight on popular genres of music.

The company has revealed plans to celebrate hip-hop’s birthday next year and is working with a new museum.

Bucano is the founder of a museum under construction in the Bronx, the birthplace of hip-hop.

Construction is already underway at Bronx Point on East 149th Street.

On Monday, city leaders announced a year-long citywide celebration of hip-hop’s 50th birthday, fueled by an industry legend.

Rapper Roxanne Chante said, “We want to do 50 things with 50+ people in 50 places and see 50 million people.

Video Music Box’s Ralph McDaniels said, “Education is the fifth element of hip-hop, and it’s represented at this celebration.

Bucano detailed what to expect throughout the year, including big concerts in Central Park.

“Youth empowerment programs, social justice programs that seek to reduce gun violence in New York City, creative programs for art making and creative placemaking, dance classes, concerts, everything,” Bucano said. said.

It takes place across the city in honor of the places and people who paved the way for hip-hop today.

The universal hip-hop museum promises to be educational, immersive and interactive, and is set to officially open in 2024.
