Three weeks before tip-off in Salt Lake City, the team captains and starting lineup for the 2023 All-Star Game were announced.
LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will serve as captains as the top two vote-getters. James made his 19th All-Star appearance, joining Kobe Bryant for the most in NBA history. James is undefeated during his All-Star Game tenure as team captain.Respected group announced NBA on TNT.
Antetokounmpo will be the All-Star captain for the third time in his career. He is his 2021 All-Star His Game MVP and is set to make his seventh straight All-Star appearance.
Below are the first five contenders from both conferences.
Eastern Conference

- Kyrie Irving – Nets
- Donovan Mitchell — Cavaliers
western conference
- LeBron James — Lakers
- Zion Williamson — Pelicans
- Nikola Jokic — Nuggets
- Stephen Curry — Warriors
- Luka Doncic — Mavericks
The reserves were announced on February 2nd, with a game scheduled for February 19th in Salt Lake City.
