Central Pennsylvania (WHTM) — Lancaster Airport (LNS) was recently featured in a recent edition of Business View magazine, highlighting the airport’s “impressive upgrades.”

upgrade

One of the major upgrades LNS is making involves one of its major runways. In total, the LNS has two asphalt runways. Runways 08-26 are the airport’s largest primary runways, and runways 13-31 are used as secondary crosswind runways. LNS is currently undergoing renovations to main runway 08-26.

Foster said the LNS is also working on another construction project, but this one will focus on building a new aircraft hangar. LNS is currently building new aircraft hangars for existing tenants. In addition, the LNS has three other he corporate hangars that are in the design phase of construction. In addition to building the hangar, the LNS has leased two parcels of land for other developments. This is because the parcel is not available for aviation purposes.

According to Foster, the LNS is “something like a funnel,” providing opportunities for economic growth and development for the community by acting as a connection to global markets. Regarding LNS funding, Foster emphasized the cooperation and support of federal and state governments. He also explained that funding airports is always a challenge, but LNS is using creativity to reach its goals and forge new partnerships to drive growth.

LNS is located at 500 Airport Road, Suite G, Lititz, on 850 acres between Harrisburg and Philadelphia. Foster said LNS is his third-busiest airport in Pennsylvania.
