Motus Theater presents Reminders on Martin Luther King Jr. Day at 2:00 pm at the Daily Arts Center in Boulder.
This internationally acclaimed hip hop/soul duet will empower and uplift your spirit, mind and body. Tailored and inspired to be part of Martin Luther King Jr.’s beloved community. Sing their tunes as part of a new medicinal music stream.
ReMINDers have shared the stage with artists such as Les Nubians, Snoop Dogg, Fishbone, Barrington Levy, Nas, Mos Def, Big Boi, KRS-One, Rakim and K’Naan.
This event will be one of the top concerts of 2023. You can bring young people (Junior high school students and older).

The ReMINDERS are a nationally acclaimed rare and remarkable musical duo that seamlessly blend soulful sounds and roots music with insightful messages and thoughtful lyrics. They are recognized internationally through concerts, tours, music awards, television and radio appearances. ReMINDers have carved out a unique path, establishing themselves firmly in today’s evolving music scene and earning international acclaim.
The group, consisting of Brussels-born host Big Samir and Queens-born host/vocalist Aja Black, is a collective creative force for creative change. Big Samir weaves complex rhythmic patterns and powerful lyrics in a bilingual flow of French and English. Aja Black has risen to the top with his gorgeous voice and unique vocal style!
ReMINDers goes beyond what is expected. Their stage presence and energetic shows inspire audiences around the world, allowing the two to uplift and entertain at the same time. A unique mashup of sharp rhymes. Raw soulful vocals. And reggae-tinged hip-hop beats form the perfect backdrop for relatable and inspirational themes, leaving a lasting impression on listeners. The event will deepen Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s understanding of the interrelationships of poverty, racism and justice. Sponsored by the Center for African and African American Studies at CU Boulder.
