Madison, Wisconsin — More than 221,000 Wisconsinans signed up for health insurance this year at healthcare.gov. This is the most coverage period in the state since 2018, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced Thursday.
CMS recorded 221,128 Wisconsin citizens signed up, an increase of 8,919 registrants over the last period.
“We are very pleased that thousands of Wisconsin citizens have the quality health insurance they need for themselves and their families,” said Health Commissioner Nathan Houdek. increase. “The Healthcare Coverage Partnership initiative has connected stakeholders across the state and helped us enroll more Wisconsiners in this insurance.”
Governor Tony Evers launched the DHS OCI Health Care Coverage Partnership in 2019 to increase subscriber and health insurance literacy and improve subscriber retention. In 2020, this partnership launched his WisCovered.com as an accessible resource where consumers can access their registration information.
CMS noted that over 43,000 Wisconsiners visited the WisCovered.com website during the open enrollment period.

The period ended on January 15, 2023, but you may still be eligible for a special enrollment period throughout the year, depending on your personal circumstances.
People who recently lost health insurance, got married, or gave birth may be eligible. Tribal members and their families can purchase insurance at any time.
